If you or your company would like to partner with us in changing the lives of young people, here are some of the ways in which you can get involved:
- By contracting the SMYLe band to perform at corporate, private or community events
- By mentoring one or more of the SMYLe participants
- By supporting the tertiary education of SMYLe project participants
- By donating products, contributing financially, or volunteering services
- By providing vacation leave work for SMYLe members
- By sponsoring one or more of the SMYLe members to travel to Canada in September 2010
Partnerships to the SMYLe project are recognised as Socio Economic Development (SED) Spend (category SG1) according to the DTI Codes of Good Practise, with 100% black beneficiary level. SMYLe is a registered Trust, and is in the process of receiving Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status with the South African Revenue Service.
Companies who partner with us will gain exposure wherever the SMYLe band performs (through brand placement on our performance banners and signage)
Through the development of effective partnerships, we believe we will be able to continue to equip young people with leadership and/or life skills that they will be able to use throughout their future professional lives. At the same time, we hope to continue to encourage the further development of a morally sound generation.
